EXHIBITIONS
The Mairie des Arts Foundation in collaboration with Frejstejn House, offers temporary exhibitions where the artists themselves can show their works to the public in conjunction with a vernissage service. These exhibitions take part in the Frejstejn House hall in Frejstejn. Enjoy the possibility to exhibit with us and observe the work of other artists staying in Frejstejn in a very an artistic ambience.
Current exhibition
Come and see the different artists who will be selected from the finalists of the promotional contest organized by Mairie des-Arts in collaboration with Frejstejn House.
This contest is a way to promote emerging artists, fully financed by Mairie des-Arts. Each artist will offer a piece of their artwork to be shown and exhibited in the hall of Frejstejn House.
With this contest, we aim for all artists to discover the artistic environment we offer and also to meet other emerging artists and collaborate with each other.
This exhibition will be held until September, marking the end of the artistic season in Frejstejn House.

Frejstejn house collaboration with Lubo Kristek
On Saturday 31 August at 9pm, in Podhradí nad Dyjí, in front of the Lubo Chateau, a Film Night took place with the unveiling of Lubo Kristek’s assemblage Flight of the Bird Queen, which was created from a canvas with a print of a girl that the artist basecoated this year at a happening in Brno.
A cut from Lubo Kristek’s May happening was screened, as well as other unpublished materials. Special guests were included as Manel Giménez, director of Port Gallery in Barcelona.
